When I heard of Breakthrough Starshot I was keen to see the outcome. However, it may be 44 years or more before we get anything. Since I won’t likely live that long, I decided to make up my own simulation of what they might find.
All images and sounds I used were derived from public domain materials created by NASA or generated using Audacity.
In the scale of the model, the probe moves at about 20% of the speed of light. I left the focal length constant. While this resulted in less dramatic images, I felt it was more realistic.
I used Blender 2.79, Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Audacity 2.3.2 to create this movie.
