My wife and I wrote this as our wedding vow, but it isn’t really a vow, so we couldn’t use it in the ceremony. So we said it anyway after the ceremony.
We will be a team.
When one of us weak,
the other will be strong.
We will seek always to respect each other.
We will be a team.
When one of us is foolish,
the other will be wise.
We will seek always to accept each other.
We will be a team.
When one of us is angry,
the other will be calm.
We will seek always to support each other.
We will be a team.
When one of us is discouraged,
the other will be optimistic.
We will seek always to foster our happiness.
This is our vow to each other.
We will strive to honour it.
